Gyro Zone in University Place

I am never disappointed coming here to grab a bite to eat :-) I always seem to get the lamb and beef gyro plate that comes on super yummy yellow rice always ask for extra sauce served as a small Greek salad awesome pita bread which I typically take their fantastic hummus and spread it in the middle of it and roll it up and eat it! For me it's enough for three meals for only $10.99 so you can't beat the price!! Trying to figure out how to add a photo to this post?

Very good food and friendly service. I come here at least twice a month and am always satisfied.

The gyro was amazing. Service was great as well. Manager was more than understanding and accommodating of my choice of toppings and meat selection for something that wasn't on the menu. I know that's not required of them but amazing that he was willing to help me with my diet at his inconvenience. I will be going back for sure(with out the complicated order of course).

A wonderful place hidden in University Place. Having traveled to the Middle East, the taste of a good Shawarma can be hard to find, but the folks at Gyro Zone know how to fill that lovely memory and douse it in Tzatziki sauce. If you go, make sure to get a plate of Gyro Fries to share with a friend.

We love all of the food we have ordered! The chicken shawarma is a regular go to item! Always sure to please the palate!

I travel an hour at least once / month to frequent this establishment. I think I've tried Greek food from every town in northwest WA. This little cafe is easily the best. I crave their Greek fries!

Best Mediterranean food in the area, hands down. Their gyros are phenomenal and the chocolate baklava is the best Baklava I’ve ever had.

We ordered the chicken gyro and Greek fries. The gyro was very good and flavorful, cool lettuce and tomatoes spicy chicken in a soft wrap. The fries were ok, a bit soggy so you need to eat them with a fork. The prices are fair for what you get although you only get to choose one self serve drink size. The restaurant is not overly clean, but acceptable. The staff is not friendly and seemed not to care.

Best gyro's and the Greek fries are to die for..We are in Olympia and we make the trip just for this place.

We have been coming here with my husband for 5+ years. I am super picky with food, but I can tell you that they have never gone wrong with my food! They are so kind and their food is so good! Definitely one of our go to restaurants on almost a weekly basis! Definitely worth a try!

My wife and I decided to have lunch and decided to stop by this little Gyro restaurant. After ordering we waited about 5 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was astonishing! Wow! It was like eating a whole meal! Lots of flavor and lots of meat and veggies. Very very satisfying! Great job & great food. We'll definitely be back soon!

I’m so glad I stopped by!!!! This place is solid. I got the super Gyro. Tons of meat and sauce!! I live in Auburn but next time the craving hits I’d definitely consider driving back for more!!!

I got a traditional Gyro. It was delicious! The flavors and the freshness were all top notch. I got the regular fries and I think next time I'll splurge and get the Greek fries.

Great fresh food at a good price. The hummus was delicious and you can tell it was made fresh as you ordered it. Gyros were so good filling but not a heavy feeling. Don't let the little strip mall fool you. Worth making the drive.

My wife and I consider this one of the best if not the best Greek gyro places around. You get a wonderfully huge gyro sandwich for a great price and their fries are the best. If you haven't had a gyro yet, this is the place to try one. You'll love it. The staff is very friendly.

Loved this place. The gyros were stuffed, flavorful, and the meat was tender. The falafel was tasty and very well done. Fantastic hummus.

In all my travels I have never come close to the perfection of a Gyro that Gyro Zone offers. I came here on a whim, and in just one bite I knew this place will be my new favorite place to eat. The prices are remarkably fair. With the cost of fast food as it is these days, you will pay less here for their sandwhiches and leave stuffed. The flavors are amazing, and so far trying different things on the menu, I've yet to come across anything I dodnt like. My suggestion for newcomers is to start with the Super Gyro. Its a little bit more, but this beast is packed with meat and glorious earthy flavors.

There’s not many halal options in Tacoma but I really enjoyed Gyro Zone when visiting the area. I got the mixed gyro plate and it tasted great. The veggie platter combo has very delicious cauliflower and eggplant. My favorite though is the their bread. They give a very hot bread for your food and I really enjoyed it! I wish their establishment they very best

Hands down best Greek/med street food in the area. Their gyros are so good. Greek fries are great too. It’s often busy so food can take a few extra minutes but it’s very worth it. Be aware, it’s a small place with decent amount of seating but it can get full.

Always great little gem for gyros. I love the fried cauliflower and sauce with it. Easy to call ahead and pick up which most people do. It's a very small space but they do a good job.

This is a great local Greek/ Mediterranean restaurant. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and answered my questions. They offer a good amount of food with there dinner plates. I recommend this establishment if you area in the area or of you want to taste authentic Greek food. They also have dessert.

Food was only okay. Really greasy baba ghanoush with an odd smoked flavor. The baklava was not good at all and had an odd processed flavor. The dolmas were the best part and they were average. Would not reccomend.

Pretty enjoyable. First time at that restaurant. I'm used to having gyros everywhere else I've found them in the Tacoma-area, but they made them slightly different here.I liked how this place felt like it was kinda tucked out of sight. Coming here was a nice change from some of the other places I've been.

Good every single time. It never disappoints. I drive nearly 40 minutes just for this place when I am craving greek food. The gyros are amazing! The greek fries are ON POINT! All the other places in the Tacoma/Puyallup/ Bonney Lake don't even compare to these greek fries. Its a good thing I don't live closer, I would be here everyday. Thanks for the delicious food!

One of those hole-in-the-wall places that has some very good food. I ordered the Kefka Kebab meat plate with a Super Gyro. Also had their special which was a Gyro and fries. Both gyros were nice size and nicely prepared. The meat plate was plenty enough enough for me and actually you could almost split it between two people. We also ordered the stuffed grape leaves. Now we were not quite expecting them to come out cold. We've had leaves from all over including Athens and have always had them warm. So it begs the question of did they forget to warm them or is this how they serve them? IDK They were fine cold, but I think I prefer them warm. Not a huge deal. Next time I will ask them to serve them warm. Definitely plan on coming back. Yes, you can phone in your order and they also do the grub hub thing. Foot traffic wasn't bad, but I can see where they could get pretty busy.

Quite possibly one of the best gyros I've ever had. Everything was delicious and affordable. 10 out if 10, would do again

the best gyro place around. ive been eating here since my friends dad owned it while i was in jr high and i can honestly say i loved it then and its even better now.

We stopped by there on a Sunday for a takeout. In a non descript mall. Lots of people drive there for takeout. We had a sandwich and a plate for gyro. Food is great. Tasty and lots of flavor.
